The Illinois Valley Y is members and participants as opposed to customers or consumers and works to foster long term involvement. All people are welcome to participate regardless of race, age, gender, sexual orientation, ability, ethnicity, religion, or ability to pay. The Illinois Valley Y is not an “agency”, it is an Association of people working together to improve the quality of life for families, individuals, and the community. The Y believes that health of mind and body is a sacred gift and that wellness, physical fitness, and mental well-being are conditions to be achieved and maintained.

One parent household and children up to the age of 24 years old if still claimed as a dependent on the tax return of the head of household. 18 to 24 years old must show proof of 12 credit hours of their college schedule. Parent must be single

The following memberships are full privilege use of the YMCA facility under its rules and regulations. All YMCA memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Bank drafts are continual and require:
The joiner fee of $100 is paid with the first month payment. This fee does not have to be paid again unless the membership lapses more than two months and then it would need to be paid again. A Bank draft must be cancelled in writing by the 10th of the month.

The Illinois Valley Y believes in providing membership and program services to all who desire to participate in the Y. If you are interested in making the Y a part of your life, but feel you cannot afford the regular rates, you may be awarded a partial scholarship of acceptance. The scholarship program, supported in part through Y Care campaigns, provides membership and program scholarships for those in need within our available resources.
Please click on the link below to be able to print out the scholarship form. Please remember to include all of your financial information and documentation to the Y. If no information is included with the scholarship, it will be returned and no scholarship will be awarded until financial information is given. This includes latest tax forms, social security payments, medical card, food stamps, etc. Copies only please. If you need copies made, please stop in at the Y and the courtesy counter will be glad to do this for you and return to you your original copies.

Daily guest passes may be purchased at the courtesy counter. Youth (6-20) – $5.00, Adult (21 & over) $10.00 for non Y Members. The Y reserves the right to limit guest passes! Ottawa and Streator members must present a membership card when coming to the Illinois Valley YMCA.
Receive a reduced guest fee $5.00/Adults $3.00/Youth and you must have valid membership at Ottawa or Streator Y’s. The Y’s policy is that no one will be turned away because of lack of funds. If you know of a person who would benefit from a Y membership or program, but does not have the needed funds, please contact our courteous staff.
Because of your membership at the Illinois Valley Y, you can use the programs and facilities of hundreds of other participating Y’s across the United States and Canada.
